Summit Roofing Contractors Inc. has provided more than 30 years of quality service to our customers. We are a family-owned and operated business, based in Manassas, Va. We serve the entire Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metro area. Our team sells and installs Residential and Commercial roofing of all types. New roofs, re-roofs, tear offs, siding, replacement windows, aluminum gutters, roof repairs, Shingles, slate cedar shakes, standing seam, EPDM, single ply rubber roofs, Dura Deck, ventilation, skylights. We are a licensed and insured Class A Virginia contractor. Voted Contractor of the Year by the Northern Virginia Building Industry.

Samuel Fullerton Jr. – President/Owner

Sam Fullerton is a life-long resident of Prince William County. Prior to establishing Summit Roofing, Sam was a Professional Firefighter and EMT. In 1982, he founded Summit Roofing Contractors, Inc. Over the years, Summit Roofing has become one of the largest roofing companies in Northern Virginia. Sam has established successful working relationships with thousands of homeowners and numerous large builders in the area. He is an active member of both the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) and the National Roofers Advisory Council (NRAC). Sam is a certified GAF and Certainteed Quality Master, Shingle Applicator, and Shingle Master. Sam is well known for his commitment to charities including the Prince William Hospital Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Prince William Red Cross, Arlington Women’s Shelter, Children’s Hospital, Project Mend a House, Catholic charities and many more. He has sponsored many youth sports teams and local high school teams. In his free time, Sam enjoys hunting, traveling, and being outdoors. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, three daughters, son and grandchildren. He currently resides in Gainesville, Virginia.

Benny Wolsak – General Manager

Benny is also a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia. He has been a loyal employee with Summit Roofing for more than 25 years. His hard work, dedication, and excellent customer service skills have earned him the position of General Manager. Benny is a certified GAF and Certainteed Quality Master, Shingle Applicator, and Shingle Master. In addition he is a Master Sheet Metal Mechanic and qualified in Duradek installation. He oversees all the day to day services and operations, making sure all of our customers are 100 percent satisfied. He is a vital member of our team and has been a key player in building Summit Roofing’s success over the years. Benny enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children in Fairfax, Virginia. He enjoys NASCAR, boating, hunting and fishing.

Joe Ortiz – Residential Roof Sales and Installation Coordinator

Joe has been with Summit Roofing for more than 16 years, beginning when he was in high school. In 1986, Joe left Summit Roofing to honorably serve his country in the US Army. He requested and was posted to Germany, then the front line of the Cold War. In 1991, Joe was deployed to the Middle East and served with distinction in Operations Desert Shield/Storm as a crew chief on a helicopter in 4/7 Cavalry. Joe returned to Summit Roofing after his enlistment in the Army ended. Since his return he has been working as our Residential Roof Sales and Installation Coordinator. Joe is a certified GAF and Certainteed Quality Master, Shingle Applicator, and Shingle Master. He keeps current with all the latest training and roofing trends. Joe is a current and active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and of The American Legion Post 10. Customers appreciate Joe’s honesty and sense of humor. He is married and has 2 daughters. In his off time he enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Sam Fullerton III - Residential Roof Sales and Installation Coordinator

Sam III is the newest member of our team. Sam represents the 3rd generation at Summit. Sam started working summers for Summit in his early teens and now after college is back and enhancing our team. Sam attended college at Shenandoah University and Bridgewater College. While majoring in business, Sam was also on the baseball team at both schools and earned 2 all conference awards for his play. Sam is one of our roofing sales and installation coordinators. Sam is certified as a Certainteed Quality Master, Shingle Applicator, and Shingle Master. Customers appreciate his politeness and enthusiasm. Sam loves the outdoors, especially fishing. He is an avid sports fan and the Redskins are his favorite. Sam currently resides in Oakton, Va.

Roxanne Herr – Office Manager

Roxanne (aka Rocky) has been a loyal and dedicated employee of Summit Roofing for 20 years. She oversees all of the office’s daily tasks from providing customer service to ordering our roofing materials. She makes sure to keep our front office a lively and welcoming place. You can count on fresh brewed coffee whenever you stop by. Rocky resides in Warrenton, Virginia with her husband, son and daughter. She enjoys participating in book club, shopping and spending time with her family.

Jim Schehl – Service Manager

Jim has been a part of our team for 15 years. Prior to Summit Roofing, Jim was Sergeant in the Marine Corps. He honorably served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm on the USS Shreveport. Jim’s service in the Marines is evident through his polite mannerisms, dedication to his job, and ability to work hard to get the job done right. He is a certified GAF and Certainteed Quality Master, Shingle Applicator, and Shingle Master. In addition he is a Master Sheet Metal Mechanic and qualified in Duradek installation. Jim keeps up to date on all the latest roofing products and installation procedures. On his off time, Jim enjoys fishing and woodworking. He resides with his wife and two teenagers in Stafford, Virginia.

Mark Andes – Service Manager

Mark has been with Summit Roofing for 16 years. His friendliness, honesty and hard work make him one of our most valued employees. He is a certified GAF and Certainteed Quality Master, Shingle Applicator, and Shingle Master. In addition he is a Master Sheet Metal Mechanic and qualified in Duradek installation. Mark keeps up to date on all the latest roofing products and installation procedures. In his free time, Mark enjoys tinkering with cars. He enjoys NASCAR and spending time with his wife and two sons. Mark resides with his family in Manassas.

Carl Carpenter – Master Service Technician

Carl has been a loyal member of Summit Roofing for 15 years. He also honorably served our country as a Marine for 4 years. He was deployed to Beirut where he was decorated for his service by the government of Lebanon. During his time in the Military he had the honor of meeting President Regan on the USS Nassau. Here at Summit Roofing, Carl keeps homeowners satisfied by providing all type repairs on your roof. Customers appreciate Carl’s promptness, friendliness and ability to meet their roof repair needs. He is a certified GAF and Certainteed Quality Master, Shingle Applicator, and Shingle Master. In addition he is a Master Sheet Metal Mechanic and qualified in Duradek installation. Carl enjoys fishing and watching the Redskins and Orioles play. Carl has two daughters and is a proud grandfather. He resides in Dale City, Virginia.

Ryan Tracy – Commercial Roofing Project Manager

Ryan Tracy heads up our commercial division. Ryan is a lifelong resident of Northern Va. Ryan has a long & solid background in the construction industry starting as a young man with his father's construction company and moving on into residential and commercial sales for a large regional supplier for several years before joining the Summit team. Ryan has excellent knowledge of all types of commercial roofing products and applications. Ryan's hard work & CAN DO attitude is valued by our customers and fellow employees alike. Ryan is certified in Firestone, Carlisle, Mule Hide, and several other types of EPDM and TPO roof systems. Ryan loves spending time in the outdoors especially fishing, scuba diving & boating. Ryan currently resides in Haymarket Va. with his wife, daughter & son.

Joy Gray – Accounts Manager

Joy Gray is our Accounts Manager. Joy brings to Summit Roofing more than 20 years of management and customer relations experience. Her experience in maintaining accurate customer records, verifying contracts, & monitoring procedures help to better assist customers. Joy is actively involved in scheduling appointments for staff and customers, updating customer data bases and invoicing customers. Joy is a home grown native of Virginia. Outside of work Joy enjoys spending time with family and friends and volunteering in the community.

Carroll Herr — Customer Service Coordinator

Carroll has been with Summit Roofing since 2011 and brings with her years of customer service experience having previously worked for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Carroll streamlined/re-designed the way we schedule our repair appointments and is now head of our scheduling department. She recently returned to college and earned her Associates Degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is a certified scuba diver and currently resides in Manassas with her two teenagers.
